Hi, I’m Christopher.

I’m a psychosomatic therapist helping clients understand their hormone and neurotransmitter releases and control their emotions and instincts. I do this by using Psychosomatic patterns and connecting them to their interoceptive awareness. I specialise in chronic pain, addictions, trauma rewiring and trading psychology. I’m qualified in the fields of psychotherapy, psychosomatics and counselling.

Quick Fact:

The system can’t heal unless it feels safe. And when I say system, I’m referring to the human system, the trinity of beingpsyche-soma-pneuma; the mind, body and soul. The three main parts which make you, you. And if the three are not aligned, balanced or feeling safe, you won’t heal or be the best version of yourself. The main reasons people don’t feel safe are either their environment, lack of emotional control and/or dissociation of behavioural instincts. Most therapists or self-healing journeys only work with one of the parts of your system, not the whole system. Like I do. When you come to work with me, I work with the mind, body and soul. Whether it’s chronic pain, addictions, trauma or wanting to be a better, more focused trader. I work with all of you as a whole, as a system.

When you understand the connection between the mind, body and soul, the journey really begins. Understanding the real reason why the lion always hunts the weakest prey.

My areas of approach

Mind = Internal Family Systems = Working with your interoceptive awareness.

Body = Metapsychological Anatomy = Understanding your hormones and neurotransmitters/ Controlling instincts and emotions

Soul = Meditation / Breathwork / Acupuncture. = Giving Clarity

The mind is incredibly powerful and, with the right guidance and tools, it can achieve remarkable things. All healing is self-healing, all accomplishment is self-accomplishment. If one’s mind remains focused and positive. I have the know-how to help you become pain-free, emotionally unburdened and/or be that winning trader!

.To create a better you - mind, body, soul.

How I help

  • This involves identifying parts, understanding their positive and negative intentions, and fostering a relationship between the “Self” and these parts to unburden them. Your “parts” are: Managers who plan and prevent, Firefighters who react when things go wrong. and Exiles - Past wounded parts of you. Those who do not want to experience the pain again.

Your managers and firefighters are protectors of the exiles, and they work hard to protect them from pain, whether it is physical or emotional. So when you better understand your protectors and exiles, you can better plan your actions and reactions. Creating confident decision making.

  • Instincts are innate, inherited, and automatic behaviours directed toward survival goals (e.g., flight or fight response), while emotions are internal, conscious, and often learned feelings that signal changes in mood (e.g., fear or joy). Instincts provide the action, whereas emotions provide the feeling and motivation. To control instincts and emotions, we must first work out which instincts are fighting each other and which emotion shows as the outcome. Once we have worked this out, we can then get to grips with secondary gain and self-sabotaging patterns.

Secondary gains are, as I describe, a special type of self-sabotage pattern. They can be quite a big obstacle to process. Secondary gains are sections of your mind that are conscious motivators that reward you in emotional or physical ways for holding onto your problems and blocks.

  • Your emotions, instincts and mental states act as a "conductor," triggering the brain to release specific neurochemicals (e.g., endorphins, serotonin) or signals to glands to release hormones (e.g., cortisol, adrenaline). Life can be very stressful, and when you are stressed, your body undergoes an immediate, automatic, and complex "fight-or-flight" chemical reaction designed to prepare you to face or flee from danger. This response is driven by the nervous system and the endocrine system, triggering the release of key hormones and neurotransmitters, including adrenaline (epinephrine), noradrenaline (norepinephrine), and cortisol. Cortisol, the primary stress hormone, acts on the brain to manage acute stress by boosting alertness and energy, but high levels can damage brain structure and function. It shrinks the hippocampus (memory centre), reduces prefrontal cortex function (impairing decision-making), and increases amygdala activity, which can intensify anxiety and fear.

By understanding “when” and “why”  these chemical hormones are released when seeking reward, experiencing discomfort and hiding from pain can help you command the difference between decisions made between the medulla (instincts) and the frontal cortex (logic) to help make logical decisions instead of fearful ones. I combine this with Neuropathway rewiring to rebalance their brain hemisphere, which in turn rewires their neuropathway and nervous system. Helping to separate the difference between pain and reward, emotion and instinct.

Claire Wallace - Northumberland

“I have just had an amazing session with Chris and I highly recommend him. Not only is Chris extremely professional and pays attention to detail. He is very empathic and has a fantastic approach in his psycho-spiritual technique to treat trauma from the root cause. If anyone is looking to treat trauma and PTSD from the root cause then have a session with him I assure you, you won't be disappointed. Within a few minutes we had gained fantastic rapport and I found him easy to talk to. If I could give him 11 out of 10 stars I would.”

Parts Work - Internal Family Systems (I.F.S)

Within parts work therapy, you achieve resolution by recognising disowned parts and giving these parts a voice. The goal is to help you develop an embodied sense of “self” that can compassionately hold your emotions, vulnerable sensations, and young parts of “self”.

Metaphysical Anatomy Technique (M.A.T)

Metaphysical Anatomy Technique (MAT) is a modality that explores the connection between emotions, traumas, and physical manifestations in the body. Unresolved emotions can become stored in the body, leading to physical discomfort or illness. M.A.T. aims to release these stored emotions and traumas, allowing for healing and a more balanced life, without necessarily requiring the individual to relive the traumatic experience or event.

Quick Note:

I understand it can be hard to reach out for the first time.

This is why I’m offering an initial free consultation to help with that first step.

I look forward to meeting you. Many thanks Christopher
